Do you have a cat in your home? Don’t know how to train your cat? Then do not need to worry, it’s quite an easy task to train a cat. It requires the trainer to learn simple techniques to convince the cat for a task. Here are some of the tips and tricks to train a cat.

Do not punish your cat

To train a cat first step is to never punish your cat while disciplining because it will make the condition worse. The cat might feel under stress and go through health problems and behavioral changes. Try to be patient and be positive during the training period to seek better outcomes.

Use a litter box

You can use a litter box to train the cat to use the toilet. First place litter box in the toilet and place your cat to excrete in the litter box. Then slowly bring the litter box closer to the toilet seat. Gradually start using less litter and finally remove the entire box to make your cat accustomed to the toilet seat.

Appreciate your cat

After your cat obeys your command treat your cat using clickers. Only use clickers or rewards when your cat performs as commanded otherwise your pet can feel confused about being rewarded.

Come command

You can simply call your cat by making a distinct noise vocally. Your cat will ultimately learn to come after hearing that noise. Start this from a short distance and remember to treat your cat when she completes the task. With the passage of time start increasing your distance. This will help to train your cat to answer a call from long distance.

Train cat to shake hands

Get ready reward and align your hand same level as the cat. Tap the paw of cat and say “shake”, use the treat when the cat moves its paw. Repeat the training until the cat starts moving it paw itself in response to shake.

Stop cat from biting

If your cat becomes too aggressive while playing and starts using nails and teeth then respond by ignoring him and or act still. Your cat will learn to avoid using nails and teeth when you will stop playing after his aggressive behavior. Never punish your cat and try to use toys for your pet to let him exercise the need to hunt. Do not always bother your cat and give him free space or a room.
